Key Bios:
Anna Dudley - Director
Anna Dudley completed her degree at the North Carolina School of the Arts School of Filmmaking.
Her student film, SPECIAL DAY, won the Showtime Black Filmmaker's Showcase 2001; a
Juror's Choice Award at the Convergence 2001 Film/Video/Animation Festival; and the best short short
at the Edgeworks 2000 film festival. Dudley recieved a $30,000 grant from Showtime to be used toward
the production of a short film, JACOB'S SOUND, that she recently filmed in North Carolina using
several of her former classmates as crew. The film will have its world premiere on Showtime.
Dudley is from Columbus, GA and currently lives in Los Angeles.
Shannon Rippy - Producer
Shannon is based in Wilmington, NC. She began as a production coordinator and this is her first
producing effort. She is well known in Wilmington and was able to assemble a professional crew from the
Wilmington area. She has produced for the History Channel and numerous commercials.
B. Francis Cole - Director of Photography
Born and raised in Syracuse, NY, Bruce began expressing himself through the user of spray paint and
abandonded building. By age eleven, he had a strong sense of color and composition from his dynamic
graffiti art. After moving to North Carolina, he began taking visual art classes, and once he was exposed
to the variety of media for creative artists, he knew that something greater was in the store for him.
Living a double life as a student activist and visual artist, Bruce decided to study film at the North
Carolina School of Arts School of Filmmaking in the hopes of reaching a wider audience. He has worked
as an electrician, gaffer and Director of Photography on numerous commercials and music videos, several
of wich are currently airing on MTV and BET.
Rich Dietl - Editor
Rich Dietl is from Orange County, CA. Rich has edited for the HBO Original Series "The Mind of the Married Man".
He has edited several independent short films. Rich currently lives in Los Angeles with his
wife and daughter.
Amanda Giddens - Production Designer
Amanda Giddens was the first graduate in production design from the North Carolina School of the Arts School
for Filmmaking. As part of her senior thesis project she interned in the art department of WB's "Dawson's Creek".
She worked in the art department of the feature film "Herman USA" and was the assistant set designer on the
the motion picture "Black Knight", starring Martin Lawrence, which was filmed in Wilmington, N.C. She works
in Wilmington, N.C.
Atli Orvarsson - Music Composer
Atli is a native of Iceland. Atli is a graduate of the North Carolina School of the Arts School of Film Making.
Currently he is a componser and orchestator for Mike Post Productions. Led by longtime composer Mike Post, the
company produces background music or scores for "NYPD Blue", "Law & Order" and other shows. He scores for
television, but also scores independent films.
